The Leipziger KUBUS is situated on the grounds of the Science Park at Permoserstraße. Two flexible conference halls for up to 450 people, meeting rooms, a big, attractive foyer with a terrace and modern conference equipment facilitate meetings, conferences, workshops and exhibitions.

The Leipziger KUBUS is easily accessible by public transportation and by car (15 min by tram from the city centre, 10 min by car). It is located closed to A14 (exit Leipzig Ost) and offers underground parking as well as parking spaces on the grounds. You are free to choose any catering company you want. Accommodation in different price ranges – from youth hostels up to 4 star hotels – is available nearby, some even in walking distance. The conference centre shares the same premises as institutions of the Helmholtz and Leibniz associations, institutes of the University of Leipzig and private research companies.

The Leipziger KUBUS is owned and operated by the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research – UFZ. The UFZ is certified by EMAS III, a rigid eco-audit for public institutions. So during planning and building certain ecological standards were implemented: The building, opened in 2004, is heated with geothermal energy, coated glass lamellae in front of the glass façade reduce heating in summer, and heat is being recovered from outgoing air.
